The Innovation Cup Season 3 concluded with a spectacular chess brilliance, as Mande Allan Benjamin of Kireka Chess Club delivered an exceptional performance to claim the title. Allan dominated the accelerated rapid chess tournament, finishing with a convincing 7/8 points, defeating several formidable opponents, including perennial Uganda Olympiad representatives in a rapid assault.
Trailing closely behind were International Master (IM) Emojong Elijah and FIDE Master (FM) Okas Walter, who equally displayed great tactical play to secure second and third places, respectively.
The Ladies’ category saw an impressive victory by Sana Omprakash,who was followed closely by Woman Candidate Master (WCM) Ampaire Shakira, a great display of consistency and determination.
U1800: Soubith Omprakash emerged as the standout player in the category
U1700: Luganda Ronald delivered a stellar performance to win this category, showcasing resilience and tactical ingenuity.
U1600: Dr. Joseph Kizito impressed with his sharp tactical play and high improvement rate winning his category.
