Uganda secures its second victory at the 44th chess olympiad

Uganda managed to secure its second victory in the first three rounds at the ongoing 44th chess Olympiad in chennai india with a fantastic score of 4-0 against opposition from Sao Tome and Principle team.
The team comprised of FM Harold Wanyama on board 1, FM Patrick Kawuma on board 2, Okas Walter on board 3 and the trending star Egesa Emmanuel coming in for FM Haruna Nsubuga on board 4 who had a long game against Canada’s international master Samsonkin Artiom and deserved a day to rest.

Going into the 4th round against Portugal, FM Wanyama who is doubling as the national coach and player stated that

” Portugal have a slight edge but they are within range and our team is optimistic of their chances and will are going for a win today”

the key preparation for these games is having the right state of mind and the players keeping in their comfort zone and continuing with their usual routine of training “
